With a degree in Physical Education and Sports Studies, Paul embarked on a 25 year teaching career - 21 of which were at UCS where he assumed the role of Director of Sport in 1994. Spearheading the planning and development of UCS Active, Paul is firmly committed to delivering a high quality health and fitness club to the school and Hampstead communities.
Karen was persuaded to hang up her wings as a BMI Flight Attendant and join the UCS Active venture! With expertise in health & fitness, Karen was appointed Enterprise Assistant before her promotion to Enterprise Manager. She deals with all membership related matters and ensures a high standard of customer service is maintained at all times.
With a head for the theory behind health and fitness, Jes has a sport and exercise science degree, is an ACSM certified trainer, a certified boxercise instructor, and is REPS level 3 qualified. A keen hockey player, footballer, cricketer and amateur boxer, Jes Joined UCS Active in August 2007 and is responsible for all fitness and sport related club matters.
Charlie is a fully qualified Level 3 REPS accredited advanced Personal Trainer with additional qualifications in suspension training, fitness testing, sports nutrition, sports conditioning and the newest qualification, Ante & Postnatal, all achieved at the historic YMCA fit academy. He is currently working as a Duty Manager and Studio Coordinator at UCS Active, which involves overseeing the running of the club, as well as organising the class timetable.
Niki ensures the smooth running of the reception area. With a strong background in customer service Niki strives to deliver a friendly welcome to all members and guests and is always available to help.
Having previously worked at another leisure club as a reception manager, Niki has good knowledge of the day to day running of a leisure facility and is also First Aid and Pool Operations qualified.
Niki also coordinates all of the Registration and booking for the Kids Active courses, dealing with all enquiries regarding Kids Active Ballet, Street Jazz, Tennis, MMA and Gymnastics.

Having run children’s holiday camps at the school for 6 years as well as being a former old boy, it is safe to say Rebby knows UCS Active fairly well. He is a qualified Sport Psychologist and has vast experience of running activity programs for children including his own junior football academy. Rebby will be joining the team as a Duty Manager and also assisting in developing our Kids Active Program.
Natasa is a highly motivated and enthusiastic member of our team. Employed as a Level 2 Fitness Intructor she has already worked her way up to Duty Manager due to her excellent customer services skills. Her passion has always been in fitness, therefore she also qualified as a REPS Level 3 Personal Trainer specialising in core training and weight loss management.
Following up his passion for sports, especially swimming, Alejandro joined UCS Active as a swimming instructor in order to transmit his passion over into his students. He worked as a lifeguard and leisure monitor in his native Spain, then after completing his STA Level 2, he assisted with coaching swimming competitions for 6 months. Alejandro then moved to UCS Active to dedicate his time mainly to teaching as well as supporting lifeguarding shifts when required. Alejandro was promoted to duty manager after demonsrating his care and dedication towards the members and students.
Alastair has been a swimming teacher and lifeguard for 14 years for many different clubs and centres around the country. A keen martial artist also, he is working towards qualifications to train others in the style he loves. Combining his interests, he is working a duty manager and swimming teacher at UCS Active.
An Old Boy of UCS, Alex has worked at UCS Active for 4 years since leaving UCS. He is currently back in London, while on an Industrial Placement as part of his engineering degree from the University of Bath. It is during that time where Alex has developed an interest in fitness playing tennis and lacrosse recreationally and representing the university at rugby.
